The Last Petal LLC brings together Johnathan and Jeni’s love of making things and creating pieces with personal meaning. Based in Forreston, Illinois, we combine custom woodwork, handmade fiber arts, and an interest in giving treasured items a new chapter.

A Name That Inspires Us

Our name was inspired by the enchanted rose in Beauty and the Beast, a story that has influenced many of our creations. The Last Petal reflects that shared inspiration and the imagination we bring to our work.

The People Behind the Creations

Johnathan’s interest in making things grew alongside his collection of tools and his desire to build a business of his own. What began as an opportunity for a side business became a way to explore how his skills and creativity could serve others.

With a background in electronics engineering technology and service in the U.S. Navy, Johnathan enjoys the combination of technical problem-solving and creative design. His current focus is CNC-carved wooden signs, from natural wood finishes to carefully painted details.

Jeni brings her creativity through fiber arts, including knitting and cross-stitch. Her work adds another way to create thoughtful gifts, decorative pieces, and personal keepsakes.
